HANDSOME 1st gentleman
I just wanted to say that If you have suicidal thoughts, mental trauma, Post traumatic stress disorder or anything Just know. You have a purpose you are beautiful, kind, just be yourself and go after what you want to do. You are amazing, you got this, and things will get better in your life, you will do great things, and so many people like your family and I are proud of you and love you dearly. Your future is bigger than your past and your past does not define you are awesome and a warrior. Don’t hate yourself simply because of your past, forgive yourself, love yourself no matter what because you deserve the world and the great things in it. Things we’ll get better in your life. You are the light of the world. Stay safe. 💪🏽❤️. Have a beautiful day…
This man constantly looks like he is hungover or coming off of or on some FUN drugs prescribed or otherwise lol
Man, this was my favorite character. Such a heartbreaking death.
Obsessed with this man 😍, he’s an amazing actor
I want a show just on thr story of Richard Harrow
He's amazing
His intention at the beginning of this on 'pastry' is UNREAL, so insanely perfect
He NAILED that role!!!
Everyone should watch the documentary "They Shall Not Grow Old".
One of the best characters in BWE. Loved the brotherhood Harrow and Jimmy had.
Surprised Jimmy’s carrier didn’t die after that movie taxi cab or whatever with queen whatever her name is
So handsome
Loved the relationship between him and Jimmy. Two soldiers who made it home physically but really died in the war.
Harrow is one of the most incredible, intricate, complex and profound characters ever put to film. I mourned his passing.
I thought that was Johnny Depp
I'm a slight disfigured veteran of the Vietnam conflict and have worn my scares and disfigurement 50 plus years for you people.. Stop this please
Richard was the reason I started watching the show. Jack Huston was brilliant in the role.
Part of what makes Harrow such a haunting character is the mask-- not because it is a mask, but because the masks's expression always looks sad, regardless of what Harrow himself feels in the moment. That coupled with the fact that Harrow, despite being a stone-cold killer, values the rights of women and loves kids, and won't kill a man unless he has a good reason, makes him very sympathetic. Brilliant writing for a character. They could have veered too hard into the "killing machine" aspects of his character, but they hit a perfect balance in my opinion. They nailed it.
I’ll enjoy rewatching this show for the rest of my life, richard harrow is one of the biggest reasons why.
walter huston was an amazing actor and it looks like the genetics trickled down
I’m currently watching S3 of Boardwalk and I gotta say, Jack’s performance is stellar. Such a talented actor.
The clicking sound though is amazing detail. My mom had major throat and mouth surgery and literally her learning to speak again she would do this after sentences to like help amd even the way he positions his mouth its crazy how he got it down so accurately.
Bar anything, his performance on Boardwalk is epic, but now that I see he is just this big happy-go-lucky dude, it makes it even more remarkable.
and then he became a Warframe
This is one of the only characters in tv/movies that i have genuienly cared for and rooted for and wanted to succeed like when this happened 5:43 i teared up
Richard is the best character in the show and he was so under used its upsetting
Perfect sniper forever.
Great performance !
Harrow was my favorite character in the whole series. HIs death scene was beautiful.
2:48 😂😅
Notice how Jack not only shifts into the voice and facial contortions, but also immediately channels the PTSD knee-stroking ( a real phenomenon). Absolutely BRILLIANT actor, and hope he lands even more roles in the future!
Huston is truly a legend for this role
I like literally fell in love with Richard Harrow on the show lol
anything done well is beautiful to watch
I loved Harrow, my fav character actually. So many of the scenes like 2:20 and 3:33... Mofu made me weep tho, too many times tho. Poor dude just couldn't be himself without creeping people out (like stated at 3:00). It was like he lost his life and presence when he lost his face. Aside from looking horrified, looking away from Richard wouldve been one of the worst ways to handle the situation. He was a badass loyal friend. I feel like I would have been the same way with him as Jimmy was. They were dependable for and with each other. His facial expressions and even just that 1 eye movement with his discomfort in life was like tiny cuts and splinters in my heart every time he'd do it. He was pretty much always self conscious in social public. But def at home doing those heavy deeds with/for Jimmy. His long ride/walk home on the RR totally thru me when he got there and they showed him without the mask. I was totally rooting for him and the lady to be Tommy's stand-in father for Jimmy. That bummed me about the show a bit. But then dead on the beach was a deep cut, esp realizing that's where he went bc that was where he and the lady has their talking and moment by the fire. I'll say this too, the actor sold it convincingly well. He'll do well from here...
"most important, don't let me eat pears. I hate pears. John Smith is a character I made up, but I don't know that and, and he might try and do something stupid like eat a pear." -David Tennant, 2007
My favorite character
Tim looks just like the very talented actor Ben Foster .
all the comments being from 13yr ago is freaking me out 😳
For real
He was the baddest guy on that show. Especially in the hotel scene
1. IV'E GOT AN IDEA! 2.Knock it over and pray it doesn't make a noise 3.BANG 4.Leg it 5.Come back and see how much damage Iv'e done
Looks rather like the 14th doctor
When Richard rocks up to the house and takes out all the gangsters is one of the best tv moments ever.
Oh well done
Out-fucking-standing
easily the best character on this series. He played this role to perfection. i still want a portrait of him tattooed
Wait, is he related to John Huston the director? I never knew that. He mentioned Anjelica and Danny, and they are his family so I assume so
What is the soundtrack called??
Jack nailed it, he WAS Richard and the veteran. Many dont understand we vets are a close knit bunch. You may not know the person but if they served its easier to talk to and be with than a civilian.
